We had some fun with the kids in the neighborhood doing all the fall activities offered. Many of our neighbors went to national night out and got use the police siren. Another day we all loaded up in our cars and drove to Goodwill. After getting a budget and picking outfits out for each other we went to chick fil a and ate lunch and shared a lot of laughs.
Fall Break we loaded the fall up with all our camping gear again and set out on an epic adventure. We camped near Sawnee National Park and got to fish, eat lots of campfire meals, hike and play some games. The second night it was really really bad weather and we called an audible instead of spending another day in the pouring down rain we added an extra day onto our reservations at the Big Splash Adventure in French Lick IN. While I am usually the cheapskate in the family Jon beat me on this trip. Instead of letting us eat out the night we added to our hotel we pulled out our camp gear in the parking lot and that's right - we cooked our meal right smack dab in the middle of the parking lot. The next night though we went to an awesome German restaurant and the got some ice cream before going down the water slides for the 400th time.
We also did our annual thankful tree and this year turned it into a competition. Kids vs adults to see who had the most thankful leaves by the end of the month. It was close but the adults won!!
